Guava paste (goiabada) is a dense purée made by combining guava fruit with sugar. Originating in Brazil, guava paste was first used as a substitute for quince, but is now popular in both sweet and savory recipes.
Guava paste is thick enough to slice, and can be served alongside cheese, or used to make guava empanadas, a sweet dessert that pairs guava paste with cream cheese in an empanada dough.
Ingredients: Guava Pulp. sugar, liquid sugar and acidulant.
Storage: Once open, store in a refrigerator (3-8 degrees Celsius) at maximum 15 days.
